يستقبل إقليم كردستان منذ شهر حزيران مئات الآلاف من النازحين والمبعدين الهاربين من مذابح جهاديي الدولة الإسلامية. ويوجد اليوم من بينهم عشرات الآلاف من المسيحيين واليزيديين والشبك والأقليات الدينية الأخرى الذين عاشوا ويعيشون منذ عصور بعيدة على أراضي بلاد الرافدين العليا، انهم يتعرضون الان إلى التهديد في وجودهم بعد أن كانوا قد تعرضوا إلى أعمال العنف والإبادة المرتكبة بحقهم تحت سلطة الدولة العثمانية ودكتاتورية صدام حسين الدموية.

دفق النزوح الهائل الذي جاء بعد موجة من الهجرة التي وصلت إلى 250000 نازح سوري، تجاوز قدرات حكومة كردستان. لا تمتلك لوحدها قدرات لاستقبالهم ولا وسائل سد احتياجات هؤلاء السكان الذين يزيد عددهم عن مليون شخص، خاصة وأنها تجد نفسها محرومة منذ شهر كانون الثاني/يناير من مخصصات ميزانيتها المالية الممنوحة لها من قبل حكومة بغداد المركزية، وأن عليها أن تدافع عن مساحة تزيد عن ألف كيلومتر من الحدود أمام معتدي الدولة الإسلامية الغنية والمجهزة بالأسلحة الجمة.

يمثل إقليم كردستان ديمقراطية فتية تسير على طريق التقدم، تحترم القيم العامة للحريات وحقوق الإنسان وحماية الأقليات وتدافع عنها. ويضم برلمانه نسبة تبلغ 36% من النساء. وتحوي حكومة لاتحاد الوطني في الإقليم مجمل الأحزاب الممثلة في البرلمان بما في ذلك المسيحيين.

تستحق هذه التجربة الديمقراطية في أراضي الإسلام، ليس فقط التشجيع وإنما أيضا التضامن الفعال والمكثف من قبل مواطني وحكومات الدول الديمقراطية الغربية.

 إن الكرد الذين يقاتلون الان أحاديا قوى الخلافة المعلنة للدولة الإسلامية التي تثير إيديولوجيتها المتعصبة وممارساتها البربرية الاشمئزاز لدينا، إنما هم يقاتلون أيضا دفاعا عن قيمنا الديمقراطية وعن أمن الجميع.

 لذلك فأننا نطالب: تكثيف المساعدة الإنسانية الممنوحة من قبل وكالات منظمة الأمم المتحدة والاتحاد الأوروبي، لان إقليم كردستان يجد نفسه عاجزا اليوم عن تلبية متطلبات مئات الآلاف من هؤلاء النازحين الى الاقليم.

ونحن نطالب أيضا القيام بتجسيد تسليم الأسلحة إلى حكومة إقليم كردستان لكي تتمكن من الدفاع عن أراضيها.

وبذل كافة الإجراءات التي تتيح لحكومة كردستان الإقليمية الواقفة لوحدها على الخط الأول، لتأمين حماية الأقليات الدينية المهددة من مذابح الجهاديين، لا سيما الحماية الجوية الدولية للمناطق المسيحية واليزيدية الواقعة في سهل نينوى والموصل لتسهيل عودة سكانها المعرضين للخطر.

ونحن نطلب من فرنسا التي أخذت على عاتقها مبادرة تعبئة الإتحاد الأوروبي، بأن تقترح على مجلس الأمن في منظمة الأمم المتحدة إصدار قرار يتيح الدفع الفعلي لنسبة تبلغ 17% من موارد النفط المخصصة للكرد من قبل حكومة بغداد المركزية، طبقا للدستور العراقي.

وأخيرا، فإننا نطلب من الإتحاد الأوروبي تفويض مبعوث خاص قادر على تأمين الوساطة المباشرة والحوار الوطني المنقطع بين بغداد والكرد وبين الطائفتين السنية والشيعية. ووضع الأنظمة الملكية النفطية les pétromonarchies التي اغمضت العين في تمويل المنظمات الجهادية بصورة مباشرة أو غير مباشرة، أمام مسؤولياتها لكي تساهم بشكل واسع في تمويل الأعمال الإنسانية الجاري والقيام بتنفيذها.

Let’s help Kurdistan protect the Yezidis and the Christians.

Our values depend on them

Since June, Iraqi Kurdistan has been receiving hundreds of thousands of refugees and displaced people fleeing the massacres committed by the jihadists of the Islamic State. Among them are tens of thousands of Christians, Yezidis, Shabaks and members of other religious minorities who have been living in these lands of the Upper Mesopotamia for centuries and who, after having survived the massacres of the Ottoman Empire and Saddam Hussein’s bloody dictatorship, today find their very existence threatened.

Coming after the first wave of 250.000 Syrian refugees, this massive flood far exceeds the Kurdistan Regional Government’s hosting capacities which does not have, on its own, the material means to provide for the accommodation of this additional population of over a million people. What is more, despite the need to protect an over 1000 Km. of border against highly armed and rich Islamic State, it has been deprived from its share of the national budget by the Government of Baghdad since January 2014.

Kurdistan is a young democracy in the making which respects and defends universal values, liberties, human rights and the protection of the minorities. %36 of its parliament members are composed of women and its Government of National Unity assembles all the parties represented in the parliament, including the Christian parties.

Such a rare example of democracy in the Islamic world not only deserves encouragement but it also needs active and massive solidarity of the citizens and the governments of the Western Democracies. 

By fighting against the forces of the Islamic State’s self-proclaimed caliphate whose fanatic ideology and barbaric practices disgust us, the Kurds are fighting for our democratic values and for our safety.

This is why we are appealing for:

-        The intensification of humanitarian aid by the UN agencies and the European Union since Kurdistan is incapable of meeting the needs of accommodating these hundreds of thousands of refugees. 

-        The realisation of the declarations for delivering arms to the Kurdistan Regional Government in order to enable the Kurds to defend their territories.

-        Taking all the measures that can enable the Kurdistan Regional Government, alone in the front line, to ensure the protection of the religious minorities who are put in danger by Jihadist massacres. Particularly an international air protection should be provided in Christian and Yezidi districts of the Mosul plain in order to enable these vulnerable peoples to return to their homelands.

-        We also urge France, who took the initiative of mobilising the European Union, to propose a resolution to the Security Council of the United Nations which would ensure the payment of the %17 of the Oil revenues due to the Kurds by the Government of Baghdad, in accordance with the Iraqi Constitution.

-        Finally, we ask the European Union to appoint a special envoy in order to favour the direct mediation, and to re-establish the dialogue between Baghdad and the Kurdish, Sunnite and Shiite communities and to make the oil-monarchies who, directly or indirectly, allow financing the jihadist organisations, to face their responsibilities and to bring them widely and financially take part in the humanitarian actions in progress.

يقدم   المؤرخ والكاتب أفرام عيسى يوسف العراقي الأصل في كتابه الأخير الذي صدر باللغة الفرنسية عن دار "لارماتان" الفرنسية تحت عنوان (مسيحيو بلاد الرافدين (Les Chrétiens de Mésopotamie)  صورة واضحة عن بداية  الديانة المسيحية ونشأتها وانتشارها وفترات الازدهار التي شهدتها وعوامل اتساعها السريع وتبنيها من قبل السريان الذين وجدوا فيها جوابا تمكنوا من خلاله تلبية طموحاتهم الإنسانية والروحية عبر مبادئها المتميزة بالتسامح والمحبة والسلام.

ويروي الكتاب تاريخ مسيحيي بلاد الرافدين خلال الفيتين كاملتين. لقد بدأ هذا التاريخ منذ الاجيال لأولى للمسيحية ولم ينتهي بعد.  مسيحيو بلاد الرافدين، عرفوا خلال تاريخهم فترات مزدهرة وانتشارا مشهودا لكنيستهم لغاية الوصول إلى الهند والصين. ويقدم المؤلف من خلال كتابه شخصيات هامة تبنت الديانة المسيحية وتركت بصماتها الإنسانية على صفحات التاريخ.

ولكن وبالرغم من الأمثلة الإنسانية المستندة على المحبة والصبر والإخاء التي قدمها مسيحيو بلاد الرافدين على امتداد تاريخهم الحافل بالعطاء، فإنهم طالما تعرضوا إلى القمع والاضطهاد والمعاناة عبر مختلف الحقب التاريخية، واضطروا إلى العيش تحت هيمنة موجات متعددة من الغزو لبلادهم التي ولدوا فيها ونشئوا في ربوعها من قبل مختلف الأقوام الأخرى: الساسانيون والعرب والمغول والعثمانيون والإنجليز. وبالرغم من معاناتهم في حياتهم التي شهدت فصولا تاريخية مأساوية، فإنهم تمسكوا بأرضهم وأرض أجداهم تمسكا دفعوا لأجله ثمنا غاليا من مختلف أنواع التضحيات. وإذا كانت بعض الأقوام قد عاملتهم معاملة حسنة واستفادت من خبراتهم الواسعة في حقل الطب والفلسفة، فإن أقواما أخرى لم تتردد من اضطهادهم بمختلف أنواع القمع والقسوة، بل وحتى من إجبارهم على ترك أراضيهم التي ولدوا فيها ونشئوا في ربوعها والعيش في بلدان أخرى.

يعرض أفرام عيسى مراحل من حياة مسيحيي بلاد الرافدين وصولا إلى عصرنا الحالي هذا الذي بدأ مع الحربين العالميتين حيث دخلت هذه الجماعة في منعطف خطير تزايدت شدته مع سقوط نظام صدام حسين والاحتلال الأمريكي للعراق. وتعرضت بلاد الرافدين إلى مختلف أنواع الاضطرابات الاثنية والدينية وصعود الحركات الإسلامية المتطرفة التي أخذت تهدد الوجود المسيحي تهديدا مباشرا محاولة اقتلاعه من جذوره العميقة الممتدة عبر التاريخ. فهل تؤدي هذه الحركات الطارئة إلى اختفاء المسيحيين من أرضهم وأرض أجدادهم وهم سكانها الأصليون؟ ذلك هو السؤال الذي يطرحه الكاتب في كتابه الأخير هذا بمرارة مؤلمة، ولكن بنوع من الأمل في ولادة أجيال جديدة واعية ربما يدفعها وعيها إلى تغيير مصيرها وخلق خارطة مزدهرة لبلاد الرافدين تتعايش فيه كافة مكوناتها بأمن وسلام ومحبة.

  Ce livre relate l’histoire des chrétiens de Mésopotamie pendant deux millénaires. Ceux-ci connurent des périodes fastes, et une expansion fabuleuse de leur Église jusqu’en Inde et en

Chine. Cette dernière forma des personnalités de haut niveau qui marquèrent fortement leur époque.

  Mais ces chrétiens de Mésopotamie traversèrent aussi de sombres périodes. Ils subirent au cours des siècles les assauts de plusieurs vagues d’envahisseurs : les Sassanides, les Arabes,

les Mongols, les Ottomans, et les Britanniques.

  Pendant la Première Guerre mondiale, ils endurèrent une vraie tragédie. Ils survécurent à tous ces conflits, et réussirent à se maintenir sur les terres de leurs ancêtres.

  Depuis la chute du régime de Saddam Hussein décidée par les Américains en 2003 et l’occupation de l’Irak, les chrétiens se sentent comme des citoyens de deuxième classe. Avec la montée de l’islamisme radical, ces hommes et ces femmes à l’illustre passé vont-ils disparaître de la terre de leurs ancêtres, la Mésopotamie
